Adult Learn-to-Swim Program

Friends of + POOL’s Adult Learn-to-Swim program is a series of special sessions by certified instructors designed specifically for adult learners.  Participants learn how to enter water over their head and return to the surface, how to turn around and orient safely, how to roll over and float, how to tread water, and how to safely exit the water.  By the end of the sessions, participants understand the breath and forward movement techniques to swim at least 25 yards, and have a general understanding and respect for the water and its hazards. The program follows all standards established by the USA Swimming Foundation for adult learn-to-swim programs.
